Race Summary: I raced hard, enjoyed the weekend and spent quality time with friends – plus I had a chance to race alongside quite a few of my coaching clients (I’m proud of all of you!). Special thanks to Race Director Greg Hawkins and the rest of the Setup Events staff for creating an excellent race weekend experience! Results: Fourth overall in the 1/2 Ironman on Saturday and 8th overall in the sprint on Sunday. What went right? I was happy with my run for both races. On April 12, I had the opportunity and privilege to meet and talk with Dave Scott, who is [arguably] the most recognized athlete and coach in the sport of triathlon. Dave is a six-time Ironman World Champion and the first inductee into the Ironman Hall of Fame. In an event sponsored by Accelerade, Dave spoke to a group of triathletes at the Conte’s store in Arlington.
