It’s official, I’m now a USA Triathlon Certified Race Director!

What does this mean?

In the words of USAT:
“Race director certification is a 18-hour education course that will take place over two days. The culmination is the awarding of certificates to race directors who successfully complete the course requirements. This course will address the latest in race directing methods, insurance/risk management trends, and USAT sanctioning compliance. While the certification course is not mandatory for race directors who sanction their events with USA Triathlon, we feel that the program is extremely valuable to both new and seasoned event directors.”

I’m excited to incorporate all of the information and training from the certification training into my races this year…and who knows, maybe I’ll introduce another new race or two…but that’s still in discussion behind closed doors at this point in time.
