After I had watched the Columbia Triathlon a week [...]

The minimalist approach to triathlon training (or anything else for that matter)

January 26th, 2008 · No Comments

I consider myself a minimalist when it comes to triathlon training.
I know this may sound strange and somewhat contradictory to anyone who knows me personally as my triathlon training volume is up in the 20+ hour range per week during peak weeks in the spring and summer, which, admittedly, is quite a lot [...]

November 10th, 2007 · No Comments

Time to start thinking about and planning next year.
Triathlon Racing Goals for 2008 and beyond:
My primary triathlon goal is a 8:2X Ironman finishing time, which is a stretch admittedly, but I think possible given all the ideal conditions and a fast course like the Quelle Challenge in Roth, Germany. I set a PR at [...]

Why hire a triathlon coach?
Rather than tell you why you should hire me as a coach (…maybe you shouldn’t!), I’ll share why I hired a triathlon coach for myself.
In 2006, I fell short of my sub-nine hour goal at the Quelle Challenge in Roth, Germany. In spite of a renewed focus on training and [...]
