As an athlete, I have finished dozens of marathons and more than 100 triathlons including 26 Ironman-distance triathlons – which consist of a 2.4-mile swim, a 112-mile bike, and a 26.2-mile run. Not only is triathlon an activity that I love to do, it is also something that inspires and informs the rest of my life.
After an outstanding year in 2007 – where I set personal best times in both the marathon at Disney and Ironman-distance at the Quelle Challenge then won the Vineman Full overall – the past two years saw me explore different events outside of triathlon like the Special Operations Force Academy, VentureQuest, Mountains of Misery and Cyclocross.
